What are beeswax sheets?
They are the key to successful beekeeping, and to the health of the bees!
Why for the health of the bees?
1) Because wax is a component that very easily absorbs various residues of chemicals or antibiotic treatments used by beekeepers for different purposes. If it is not sterilized and treated properly, these residues can then transfer into the honey, which may lead to consequences later for the bees, by creating resistance.
2) Wax is also a suitable environment for the formation of bacterial spores which, once conditions are right, become active and develop into various bacteria, such as Penicillus, which later causes European and American Foulbrood. Spores are destroyed at temperatures above 120°C, which is why wax must be well sterilized and free from spores before being placed in the hives.
WAX SHEETS from GRUDA are sheets processed from wax collected by our beekeepers across the country. It is carefully treated before processing. STERILIZATION is a process we treat with utmost rigor, and we do not allow any amount of wax to be produced without being sterilized.
They have a natural yellow color and the characteristic natural scent of wax.
You can find them in all major centers in Kosovo and Albania!
